Abstract

Pico Float is an innovative portable pico hydro power plant designed to provide renewable energy solutions efficiently and environmentally friendly. This tool utilizes the working principle of the Archimedes Screw Pump to convert the kinetic energy of water flow into electrical energy. Test results show that the Pico Float has varied performance depending on water flow conditions, with a peak power of 2928.75 W, a current of 104.98 A, and a turbine rotational speed of 31.07 RPM in heavy flow with a discharge of 0.5 m³/s . In gentle and calm flows, the tool still functions even though the power produced is lower. Pico Float's ability to adapt to variations in water discharge and flow speed makes it an ideal solution for remote locations that are difficult to reach by conventional electricity networks. In addition, this tool supports reducing carbon emissions and increasing the use of new and renewable energy. Pico Float is expected to be a real step in supporting the global agenda towards clean, sustainable and easily accessible energy for the public.
