Sources of air pollution can come from various activities, including industry, transportation, offices, and housing. These various activities are the biggest contribution of air pollutants that are released into free air. The impact of air pollution is causing a decrease in air quality, which has a negative impact on human health. Based on it, we intend to research and create a prototype of an indoor air detector that is not only portable, but also compact, wearable (can be attached to the body/carried), applicable (easy to use), accessible, and connected to smart phones and websites. The device will monitor the indoor air quality and the results will be sent directly to the connected smart phone and will be stored in the cloud media and can also be accessed via the website. In general, this research will involve 3 connected and integrated devices, namely: air quality measurement device, application on a smart phone and a website and its storage media. This device can be used by everyone, where the data obtained by the device at a certain location, can be a contribution and useful information for others (person-to-person/P2P), and in a system, can work automatically and independently (machine-to-machine/M2M). With the above background, there is a need for a device that is not only affordable but can also be connected to a mobile phone and the internet is an urgent need. The team intends to conduct a study on the device and call it a Measuring Device for Indoor Air Quality or MEDIA-Q.
ER -
