Abstract
This study aims to analyze the bearing capacity and settlement of pile foundations for a parking building project based on Standard Penetration Test (SPT) data. The analysis was conducted using pile diameters of 30 cm, 40 cm, and 50 cm under two design conditions, namely without basement and with basement. Axial bearing capacity was calculated using the Meyerhof method, lateral bearing capacity using the Broms method, and elastic settlement using the Vesic method. The SPT N-values were corrected for groundwater level effects prior to analysis. The results indicate that increasing pile diameter significantly improves both axial and lateral bearing capacities, while also resulting in larger settlements. The axial bearing capacity of piles without basement conditions is higher than that with basement conditions due to the longer effective pile length. All pile diameter variations satisfy the allowable bearing capacity and settlement criteria, indicating that the pile foundation design is safe for the parking building structure.
