Abstract

ABSTRACT


Façade is the outer part of the building that plays a big role in the appearance and resistance


to environmental influences. The shape of the façade also affects the quality and character of the


building. Especially in the installation of curtain walls on the exterior of the building (façade). The


stick system method is one of the most common types of curtain wall installation in the construction


industry. The use of this method can provide advantages in terms of design, installation speed, ease


of maintenance, and efficiency. The purpose of this final project is to analyze the strength of


aluminum panels against dead loads and wind loads, to analyze the strength of glass on aluminum


panels, to analyze the strength of the connection bracket between aluminum panels and the main


structure. The analysis method used is a literature review where data is processed, calculated and


entered using the STAAD program. Pro V8i. The results of the aluminum analysis can be seen that


the moment and deflection that occur in the aluminum frame are nothing greater than the moment


and deflection allowed. The results of the glass analysis show that the shear check does not include


anything from the shear strength. Meanwhile, the results of bracket analysis show that stress does


not exceed the existing stress limit. So that the aluminum frame, glass and bracket on the aluminum


panel meet safety requirements and can be used.
